Day 1

🌅 Day 1 – Arrival in Vilanculos: first taste of the Mozambican coast

After the flight from Johannesburg (not included), arrive in Vilanculos and settle into peaceful beachfront accommodation. After check-in, explore the town, visit the local market and watch the evening fishing activity on the beach. It is a first taste of authentic life in Mozambique, its people and its coastal rhythm.

Day 2

🏝️ Day 2 – Bazaruto Archipelago: marine exploration and unique landscapes

After breakfast, sail to the Bazaruto Archipelago for a full-day excursion on Bazaruto, considered one of the most beautiful islands in the Indian Ocean. Snorkel at 2 Mile Reef, sail through crystal-clear waters and walk across white-sand dunes with spectacular views. Lunch is served outdoors in an idyllic natural setting.

Day 3

🌤️ Day 3 – Relax by the Indian Ocean: free day in Vilanculos

Enjoy a free day on the beaches of Vilanculos. Relax on the sand, explore the area or choose an optional activity such as diving, ocean safaris, deep-sea fishing or horse riding. Seaside massages are also available.

Day 4

✈️ Day 4 – Vilanculos to Maputo: to change of scene

Enjoy a final free morning on the Mozambican coast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Maputo, with a technical stop in Inhambane (flight not included). On arrival in the capital, meet your representative and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5

🎶 Day 5 – cultural Maputo: traditional music and colonial architecture

The day begins with an introduction to traditional Mozambican music at a timbila workshop in a local neighbourhood. Learn about the history, construction and sound of this ancestral instrument, followed by a traditional dance performance.
In the afternoon, take a panoramic tour of the city’s main landmarks: the Fortress, railway station, Central Market, Iron House, Samora Machel statue, cathedral and Costa do Sol. Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 6

🦁 Day 6 – Maputo to Kruger: first safari among giants

Set off very early for Kruger National Park, crossing the Mozambique–South Africa border with guide assistance. Enter through Crocodile Bridge Gate for a full safari in an open vehicle, exploring key areas in search of the Big Five. Regular stops at camps provide time to rest and have lunch. The safari ends at around 16:00 h.

Day 7

🐘 Day 7 – Exploring southern Kruger: to new safari route

Set off early for another day on safari, following a different route through southern Kruger and entering through Malelane Gate. Visit areas including Skukuza and Lower Sabie, favoured habitats of big cats, elephants and exotic birds. Your guides share their knowledge of the African ecosystem throughout the journey. Lunch is included en route.

✈️ Day 8 – End of the journey: transfer to Mpumalanga Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (MQP) for the domestic flight to Johannesburg (not included), where you will connect with your international flight home.

🌍 Mozambique – Visa exemption and visa (since 2023)

from 2023, citizens of 29 countries can enter to Mozambique without visa through up to 30 days (tourism or business unpaid), abonando to fee administrative of 650 MZN (approx. 10 USD). In addition, several nationalities disponen of visa on arrival in aeropuertos international.

🇸🇿 Eswatini – visa (stays cortas)

No visa is required for citizens of countries including Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Japan and South Korea, among others, for stays of up to 90 days. Other nationals, including those of India, China, Colombia and Peru and most African countries, may require a visa.

🇿🇦 South Africa – visa (stays cortas)

No visa is required for citizens of the countries listed above for tourist stays of up to 90 days. Nationals of India, China, Colombia and Peru and most African countries require a visa. Always check with your nearest South African embassy or consulate before travelling.
